Exactalloy product line overview: seven categories in one page
Exactalloy · Updated
The catalogue is organised by machining task, so a workpiece and operation can be matched to a category before comparing individual SKUs.
1. Tool holders and clamping systems
Hydraulic, shrink fit, ER/SK/BBT/APU collet, side-lock, strong and tapping holders plus shrink extensions. A holder sets the runout of the whole assembly, so it is specified together with the cutter.
- Finishing: hydraulic holders with runout ≤3 µm.
- High speed: shrink fit.
- Heavy cutting: side-lock, strong or BBT double contact.
- Note that holder and cutter interfaces must be confirmed separately.
2. Milling tools
Solid carbide end mills across hardened steel, aluminium, stainless, titanium, graphite and composite applications, including roughing and unequal-pitch designs.
- High-hardness series for HRC55–65 work.
- Aluminium series with polished flutes and high rake.
- Corner radius and ball nose for mould and surface work.
- Roughing, dovetail, T-slot and chamfer forms.
3. Superhard and diamond-coated tools
PCD, PCBN, single-crystal diamond and diamond-coated cutters for abrasive non-ferrous, composite and hardened-steel finishing.
- PCD end mills, reamers and boring tools.
- PCBN inserts and brazed form tools for hardened steel.
- Diamond-coated cutters for graphite and CFRP.
4. Indexable inserts and cutter bodies
Milling, turning, grooving and fine-boring inserts with matching face mill and end mill bodies. Inserts and bodies are specified as a pair.
- Always quote the complete insert and body designation together.
- Confirm the seat, screw and accessory requirements before ordering replacement parts.
5. Taps, 6. custom tools and 7. regrinding
Solid carbide taps including form (chipless) taps, drawing- or sample-based custom tooling, and a regrinding service that restores worn cutters.
- Form taps need a correctly sized pre-drilled hole and good lubrication.
- Custom tools are quoted from a dimensioned drawing or sample.
- Regrinding is quoted from tool type, condition and quantity.
